September 20, 2010: Day 27 of my 28 day, 10,000 mile road trip, I visited with Cadet E. Boyd at her home in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Mara completed three years in the Air Force ROTC program at the University of Colorado at Boulder and graduated in the top ten percent of her basic training class before she came out to her commander in 2002.

Tomorrow will be one year since I visited with Mara, starting tomorrow an American service member will no longer be discharged from the military because of their sexual identity.
