Phil’s go to Marfa, a set on Flickr.
On January 3rd, 2012: Kay, Iso and I, packed up and loaded Lynda and Cyndy on Gina and headed west to Marfa, Texas! We had both driven by the area many times, but this was our first vacation in Marfa. “Where the air is light, the beauty is natural and the sky is vast.” (www.marfacc.com/about/history.php).
And man was it light, beautiful and natural. We spent 3 days there exploring the city, the art of Donald Judd (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinati_Foundation). Before heading home we stopped at the MacDonald Observatory in Fort Davis, Texas.
I heart you Marfa, can’t wait to head back and spend some more time enchanted by your lights.
This set features color (iPhone4) and black and white (Nikon D700, 28mm lens) images.
